A PENSIONER has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg after the mobility scooter she was driving was involved in a crash with a car close to the Bidston Bypass.
Emergency services were called to Fendale Avenue shortly after 1.30pm today, Monday, following reports that a Honda Civic and a mobility scooter had crashed closed to the junction with Fender Lane.
Police say while the car and scooter received only minor damage, the 60-year-old woman - who had been on the mobility scooter - has been taken to hospital.
Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening although it is believed she may have suffered a broken leg.
