MORE than 200 people have now signed up for the 21st annual Hoylake 10K Coastal charity fun run.
Taking place on Sunday, September 14, the Globe-backed event raises funds for a special needs club in the town.
It starts outside Hoylake Community Centre in Hoyle Road at 11am.
More than 600 people braved the wind and rain for last year’s event, raising £8,500.
So far, 230 people have signed up for next month's run.
Race secretary Carla Williams told the Globe: "We're six weeks away from this year's event, and although we are encouraged by the numbers that have signed up, the figure is down by about 90 on this time next year.
"The 10k is terribly important to the Wednesday Special Needs Club as it is our major fundraiser.
"Everyone who takes part is running for a very good cause, because the club's sensory resource softplay centre depends on them. All funds raised from the event go towards its upkeep and maintenance."
