DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses to an assault outside a Wirral pub that left a 56-year-old man with head injuries.
Police were called to the Soft Rock Bar in Wallasey Road, Wallasey, on the night of Friday, June 27 following reports that a man had been assaulted.
They found the man with injuries to his head. He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries and has since been released.
Following enquiries in the area, two men, aged 32 and 53, were arrested on suspicion of assault. Both were questioned before being bailed pending further enquiries.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the bar at the time of the incident and saw the assault to contact officers.
