POLICE have issued CCTV stills of a man they would like to speak to in connecton with a New Brighton burglary earlier this year.

Officers were called to a property on Warren Drive on April 10 after reports that a handbag containing keys and a quantity of cash had been stolen.

It's believed the offender entered the house at around 1.40am and took the bag before escaping.

Although the offence happened some months, police have only now released CCTV footage.

Crime scene investigators forensically examined the property and an investigation is continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detective Constable Mal Adeniran from Wirral CID said: "Burglaries can often leave victims feeling both upset and angry that their home has been violated by a stranger.

"We understand the impact crimes like these have and are determined to trace and arrest the person responsible for this incident.

"As part of our enquiries, we have released CCTV stills of a man who we believe may have information which could help us with our investigation.

"I know the images are quite dark, but I would really urge people to take a good look at them and to get in contact with us if they recognise the person who is shown."

Anyone with information should call detectives in Wirral CID on 0151 777 2265 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
