THE finest of Wirral musicians will be performing in a rather unusual setting for John Gorman's brainchild “Festival Of Firsts” this Saturday.
The “Party In The Boat Shed” at Hoylake Sailing Club is an atmospheric venue on Hoylake Beach Promenade, with a makeshift ramshackle bar, corrugated-iron walls, candlelit tables, fairy lights and tarpaulin cover.
Wirral singer-songwriter Caroline England, recently play-listed on BBC6 Music, will be showcasing more new material from her eagerly-awaited forthcoming album due for release in the autumn.
Also on the bill is Jimmy Rae & Friends who will perform tracks from his critically acclaimed album “Deliverance”.
Newly-formed, close-harmony, vocal trio The Poppies sing jazz and swing classics with a traditional Andrews sisters' feel.
Caroline said: "This is one of the most memorable venues I have ever performed in and I'm really looking forward to playing on the bill with two of my favourite bands in such a quirky setting.
"It's going to be a great night".
Tickets are on sale from Urbane Hoylake or by clicking here.
There will also be a barbecue and collection for Claire House Children's Hospice.
Doors open at 7.30pm, Saturday, July 12.
