CROWDS gathered outside Wallasey Town Hall on Saturday to show their support and recognise the sacrifices and efforts of the armed forces and their families, both past and present.

Soldiers, sailors and airmen marched through the town to mark Armed Forces Day.

The parade began at the RNA Club in Seacombe before making its way to the town hall, where deputy mayor of Wirral, Cllr Les Rowlands, took the salute next to the flagpole.

The procession then continued to the Royal British Legion Club in Withens Lane.
