Police warning after medication stolen in Birkenhead
POLICE are appealing for the public to be cautious after prescription medication was stolen during a burglary in Birkenhead.
The Concerta tablets - 20 x36mg tablets, 1 x 18mg tablet and 10 x 10mg tablets – were contained within bottles and packets in a car that was stolen on Beckwith Street East at about 7.30am on Tuesday.
The offender forced entry to the property and took the car keys before driving off in the car - a gold coloured Renault Megane convertible.
The medication was in the car at the time of the burglary and can cause serious adverse side effects to anyone who takes them who they are not prescribed for.
Anyone who comes across the tablets or any other prescription drugs should hand them in at their nearest police station, pharmacy or doctors surgery.
Officers are also appealing for anyone with information about the stolen car to contact them.
- Anyone with information should call Merseyside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
