A WIRRAL woman has celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her friends and family.
The mayor and mayoress of Wirral kindly joined Mary Dodd at Birch Tree Manor Care Home in Port Sunlight to celebrate the special occasion on June 23.
Surrounded by family and friends, Mary thoroughly enjoyed her day and was delighted to receive a bench from Seddon Construction and a bouquet of flowers from Lionel Bolland, chief executive of Port Sunlight.
When asked the secret to her long life, her son David Robinson replied: “Mum says the answer is good health and hard work.”
Mary Dodd celebrates her special day with her son David and the mayor and mayoress of Wirral.
Mary added: “I would love to do it all again.”
