Merseyside Police are appealing for the public's help in tracing a missing elderly man from the Meols area.

Trevor Haskayne, 75, was last seen by family at his home on School Lane, on Saturday,  June 21.

Mr Haskayne was reported missing by his family on Sunday. It is believed he might have caught a train to visit family in the Kingston-Upon-Thames area.

His family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned for him as his disappearance is out of character and he has never been reported as missing before.

Police are appealing for anyone who has seen Mr Haskayne since Saturday to get in touch.

He is white, 5ft 7in, of a slim build with grey hair and a tanned complexion. He is believed to be in possession of a navy blue case with brown handles and a wristwatch with snakeskin strap.

He is known to frequent Liverpool city centre and has links to Kingston-Upon-Thames.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call Merseyside Police on either 0151 777 2081, the 101 number or the Missing People charity on 116 000.
