Police are appealing for the public's help in tracing a Birkenhead man who boarded a train on Thursday evening and has not been seen since.

Ricky Grundy was last seen at Hamilton Square train station at 6.30pm on June 5.

The 29-year-old is believed to have withdrawn cash before boarding a train heading to West Kirby.

Colleagues reported him missing after he failed to turn up for work at a local pub.

Ricky's disappearance is out of character as he has never been reported missing before.

His family in Wirral and North Wales are becoming increasingly concerned for him and police are appealing for anyone who has seen him to get in touch.

Ricky is white, around 5 ft 8Ins, of medium build, with short cropped mousey brown-coloured hair.

He was last seen wearing a polo t-shirt with red, white and blue horizontal stripes.

He is known to have links to the Bangor arear of North Wales as well as Wirral.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Ricky since Thursday evening or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to call Merseyside Police on 101 or the Missing People charity on 116 000.
