WIRRAL is included in weather alert issued by the Met Office warning that Saturday will bring thunder storms possibly accompanied by frequent lightning.
The storms are expected to hit the peninsula at around 3am tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued a “yellow warning” saying the public should be aware of the potential for localised flooding due to the downpours, although the location of the heaviest rainfall remains uncertain.
