A WIRRAL library will host an evening of literature in its newly refurbished surroundings.
Birkenhead Central Library is currently undergoing re-organisation and refurbishment but will reopen in June in time for a Midsummer Readers Evening.
The event on Wednesday, June 25 will see guest author Robert Williams talk about his new novel, "Into the Trees" and signing copies of his work, which has been widely praised for his clear prose and subtlety.
There will also be book discussions based on Richard & Judy's Spring Reads, which include works by Jodi Picoult, Jo Baker and Louise Doughty.
The library will host a raffle and refreshments as part of the event.
Tickets for the event, which starts at 6.30pm, cost ᆪ3 and are available from all Wirral Council libraries.
