Time to enter Hoylake 10k 2014

Wirral Globe: Runners set off last year. Runners set off last year.

ENTRIES are now being taken for the 21st annual Hoylake 10K Coastal charity fun run.

Taking place on Sunday, September 14, the Globe-backed event raises funds for a special needs club in the town.

It starts outside Hoylake Community Centre in Hoyle Road at 11am.

More than 600 people braved the wind and rain for last year’s event, raising £8,500.

Race secretary Carla Williams told the Globe: "The 10k is terribly important to the WSNC as it is our major fundraiser and all the funds raised from the event go towards the Sensory Resource’s upkeep and maintenance, which is maintained by a small group of enthusiastic volunteers."
