FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a man after he became trapped in a cherry picker seven metres off the ground in Upton.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service was called out to Arrowe Brook Road just after midday today, Monday.
A 61-year-old man was found to be trapped in the cage of the cherry picker.
Firefighters lowered the cage manually using the hydraulic controls on the cherry picker, before using an extension ladder to help him to ground level.
