Fire crews from Wirral assisted North West Ambulance Service in getting a man to hospital after he had fallen ill onboard a ship at Bidston Dock in Birkenhead.
Applainces from Upton and Wallasey fire stations along with the search and rescue team from Croxteth and an aerial ladder appliance from the city centre attended the incident at around 8pm yesterday.
The man was suffering from a medical condition and, after being transferred from ship to shore, he was taken by ambulance to Arrowe Park Hospital.
