DETECTIVES have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to about three attempted vehicle break-ins in Rock Ferry.

A Ford Galaxy, Fiesta and Vauxhall Combo van were parked at the junction of Browning Avenue and Highfield Road when an unknown man was seen trying to force their doors and windows open using a flat metal bar.

One of the owners saw the incident taking place and went outside to challenge him.

When he threatened to call police, the would-be thief walked off along Browning Avenue towards the Dacre Hill area.

The incident happened shortly before 6pm on Sunday, March 23.

While the Galaxy and Fiesta were not damaged, a window was smashed on the Vauxhall.

Police are appealing for anyone who recognises the man to contact them.
