Updated 4:53pm Wednesday 16th April 2014 in News
A 15-year-old boy has been attacked and stabbed in Noctorum.
Merseyside Police are investigating after the youth suffered non-life threatening injuries in the Noctorum area on Tuesday, April 15.
The victim attended Arrowe Park Hospital shortly after 4pm with injuries to his right leg and his lower back.
Officers are treating the incident as an assault after receiving several reports from members of the public of youths fighting on a field off Sorrel Close, Noctorum.
The location has been cordoned off for forensic examination and patrols are searching the area for other people believed to have been in the close at the time.
At this stage, detectives believe the victim's injuries are superficial but consistent with having been inflicted with a knife or other sharp implement.
His parents have been informed and are at the hospital.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could help the police investigation should call Wirral CID on 0151 777 2265 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
