A TEENAGE cyclist was taken to hospital after he was in collision with a car in Wallasey.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Wallasey Road and Belvidere Road at around 10.20am today, Tuesday, after reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a Renault Megane.

Paramedics and police attended and the teenage cyclist with multiple injuries.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Road closures are in place while officers from the force’s Matrix Serious and Organised Crime Roads Policing Unit examine the scene.
