A TOP Wirral Hotel is celebrating the accolade UK's best luxury beauty spa.
For the second successive year Thornton Hall Hotel was the only north west spa to be shortlisted for an award in the prestigious World Luxury Spa Awards 2014.
It was commended alongside top spas across London, Europe, Asia and America.
Roy Burkey, health club manager – supported by spa manager Julie Morris Spa said: "The World Luxury Spa Award is a fantastic opportunity to gain international recognition and it puts our spa in the spotlight alongside world-renowned hotels and resorts.
"The health club staff work very hard and deserve this credit. We continue to strive to be the best and our investment and new innovative facilities has set a benchmark as an industry leader."
Thornton Hall has now completed the final phase of its spa development creating new state of the art luxury facilities.
It now boasts a luxury mud therapy treatment room, arctic Snow Cave and new outdoor Hydro Spa Pools. The spa was recently been awarded Five Bubbles by the Good Spa Guide.
