A YOUNG Wirral kickboxer has won the chance to represent his country again in a world championship - and needs Globe readers to help get him there.

Callum Glover, 15, from Birkenhead, has been kickboxing since he was seven years old and is dedicated to his sport.

He has been given the opportunity to be part of WKC Team England to fight in Portugal in November.

But he needs sponsorship to get him out there and is appealing to Wirral businesses to help.

He has achieved Black Belt standard and among his awards are English, British and Welsh titles.

In August last year, he was given a chance to fight for WKC team England in the World Championships in Italy, where he won two titles and a silver medal.

In the weeks before the world championship's Callum will attend training up to three times a day everyday once before school and twice after school.

Proud father John said: "Unfortunately, Callum’s chosen sport is not funded and I was hoping for any local companies or businesses that could sponsor him to cover costs."
