MORE than 800 people turned out for the filming of an episode of BBC's Flog It in Wirral.

Host Paul Martin was joined by on-screen experts Anita Manning, Philip Serrell and Nick Davies for a valuation day at Wallasey Town Hall on Saturday.

Selected items will now go under the hammer at Adam Partridge Auctioneers in Liverpool on Wednesday, April 2.

The show's location manager, Alex Habgood, told the Globe: "Huge thanks to everyone who came along to the valuation day, over 850 people attended the event.

"We received a very warm welcome, the whole team would like to thank the people of the Wirral area for such a strong show of support for Flog It.

"The town hall was a perfect venue and the event was a great success. We hope everyone who visited enjoyed the day as much as we did."

Now in its 13th series, the programme regularly achieves audiences of more than 2m viewers in its weekday afternoon slot.

Members of the public are invited to bring along up to three antiques and collectables they might be interested in selling.

Once valued, the owner and a team of experts decided whether an item should go forward for auction.
