Cheshire Police are appealing for information following a serious assault in Ellesmere Port.
Between 6.55pm and 7.05pm on Friday, February 28, the victim, a 35-year-old man, was leaving the Sir Robert Public House on Overpool Road when he was assaulted in the car park.
The victim was punched to the ground and then hit again.
He sustained a broken jaw and bruising as a result of the incident and required treatment at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Detective Constable Mark Hughes said: "We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the incident or who may have any information which may assist with our enquiries to please get in touch."
