LOUIS Emerick and Lynne Fitzgerald are two of a kind - Merseysiders with a passion for real theatre.

A chemistry on stage that has all the right ingredients for a great night out whenever they appear together.

Both are well know on the arts circuit and on both sides of the river and the dynamic dramatic duo are looking forward to a forthcoming double act at New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion Blue lounge.

"Two" – a classic contemporary drama which is high on comedy and tragedy in equal measure – is set in a pub.

Words and actions speak volumes where you can drink in the atmosphere as our story-tellers create a rich tapestry of tales.

All human life is there.

The plot is this…a landlord and landlady play out 14 different characters over the course of the evening.

Louis, a Brookside household name, stage, film and TV star – latterly in Last of the Summer Wine joins Lynne, a versatile stand-up comedienne, actress and all-rounder last seen on the Wirral with her critically-acclaimed one-woman hit show, Bunty the Bouncer.

"We do work so well together," Louis tells the Wirral Globe.

"Lynne and I are developing our own company to work on two-handers. We believe this production - Two- is our calling card.

"We have done it twice before, but this is our Wirral debut and we can’t wait.

"It allows us as actors to bring to life characters that we can all relate to and, hopefully, share with the audience."

Louis, soon to be seen in the BBC series New Tricks, says that if Wirral Globe readers and Globe inter-netters want a good night out they will enjoy some inter-active theatre.

He adds: "There is a bar on stage which is a set - but Lynne and I would love to meet audience goers in the REAL bar after the show – towels on, closing time – for a post performance chat.

"Two is all about people talking, remembering, laughing and crying."

Ta, Louis and Lynne, mine's a pint.

Two by Jim Cartwright Blue Lounge, Floral Pavilion March 19 – March 22 including a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.

Tickets are from the box office on 0151 666 0001.
