Motorway crash leads to severe rush hour delays
MOTORISTS faced severe delays during Friday morning’s rush hour after a car crashed into the central reservation on the M53.
Two lanes were closed on the southbound carriageway after a red car crashed and came to rest across the middle and fast lane of the motorway, between Junction 3 at Woodchurch and Junction 4 at Bebington.
Cars were said to be queuing back as far as Junction at Moreton Spur.
The driver escaped injury and the car has been removed.
All lanes are now re-opened but there are still delays of 15 minutes.
