A WALLASEY teenager has been taken to hospital after the car she was driving was in collision with a bus.

Police were called to Moreton Road shortly after 8.30am today, Monday, after reports that a double decker Arriva bus had been involved in a crash with a blue Peugeot 107 close to the junction with Braeside Gardens, close to Upton Hall School.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police told the Globe the female bus driver had reported the incident, which left the Peugeot as “undriveable”.

The driver of the Peugeot, described as being a woman in her late teens, was taken to hospital for a precautionary check, although the full extent of her injuries are not yet known.

Both the car and bus had been cleared from the road at 9.30am but police remain at the scene.

Moreton Road remains closed but is expected to reopen shortly.
