THREE teenagers have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store in Greasby.
Police were called to BRS Food and Wine on Wednesday night to a report that four youths had walked into the shop armed with knives.
They threatened a member of staff and demanded cash before escaping with a significant amount of money and cigarettes.
Patrols carried out a thorough search of the area and, as a result two 17 year olds and a 16-year-old, all from from Birkenhead, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
All three were questioned by detectives and subsequently charged.
They have been remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court today.
