TRANMERE Rovers face Coventry in League One action at Prenton Park this weekend.
Assistant manager John McMahon says the squad needs to be ready for a Coventry team aiming to bounce back from their midweek defeat against Carlisle.
The Sky Blues lost 1-2 at home to the Cumbrians on Tuesday night, only their second home reverse since Rovers' 5-1 win at Sixfields in November.
Assessing this weekend's opponents in a pre-match interview, McMahon - McMahon - in charge of first team affairs while Ronnie Moore is suspended pending an FA inquiry into a potential breach of betting rules - said: "They're a really good side. They're organised, they've got some good players and they try to play football.
"I think they'll be smarting from the result earlier in the season.
"They're on a bit of a poor run so they'll be urging to address that quickly.
"It's going to be a tough game and we'll approach it as we always do and prepare thoroughly.
"I think if you look at [our] results and performances there is some improvement in both.
"There seems more confidence around the place from results in previous weeks and the lads seem more confident in the roles they're asked to play."
Tomorrow's match starts at 3pm.
