A WALLASEY man has appeared in court accused with making false bomb threats.
Kevin James Murphy, of Osborne Grove, spoke only to confirm his name and address when he appeared before Wirral magistrates on Wednesday.
The 60-year-old is accused of carrying out three bomb hoaxes last year, which led police to search locations across the borough, including Birkenhead Market and the Clairville Wetherspoons pub in Liscard.
The charges relate to three phone calls which Murphy is alleged to have made on August 2, September 13 and October 3 last year.
Murphy did not enter a plea and will next appear at Liverpool Crown Court on June 18 for a plea and case management hearing.
He remains on unconditional bail.
