ELDERLY residents of a sheltered housing complex in Rock Ferry have been left without a entertainment after thieves made off with a large flat screen television in an overnight burglary.

Merseyside Police were called out to Bedford Court, on Bedford Road at 8am on Wednesday morning following reports that the complex had fallen victim to a burglary.

A number of items, including a 50 inch television, have been reported as being taken.

An investigation into the full circumstances of the burglary is ongoing.
