THE hunt for would-be-burglars in Wallasey left a police officer in need of hospital treatment after he cut his arm on a fence.
Police were called to Brighton Street at around 11.25pm on Saturday, January 25, following reports that two men were seen trying to break into a property.
Officers carried out a thorough search of the area to identify the offenders as well as carrying out house-to-house enquiries and checking CCTV from the area.
During the search, an officer had to be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital after cutting his forearm on a fence. The officer has since been released from hospital.
