Striker Jake Cassidy is set to complete a loan move back to Tranmere Rovers later this week.

The 20-year old, who scored 11 goals for Rovers last season, will join in with training today and complete the paperwork on his three month loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday.

Cassidy’s first loan spell at Prenton Park saw the Welsh Under-21 international score five times in ten games at the end of the 2011-12 season.

He returned to Tranmere for the first half of the 2012-13 season, scored 11 times in 28 appearances and was named League 1 Player of the Month in September 2013.

Since returning to Wolves he has made 25 appearances, including six games in the Championship.

Manager Ronnie Moore said: "I’m delighted to be able to bring Jake back to Prenton Park.

“He has had two fantastic loan spells here already and I’m sure he will do just as well in his third.

“He’s a goalscorer who will add to our attacking options. He works hard, he leads the line and he’s got a fantastic attitude and l’m looking forward to seeing him in a Tranmere shirt again.”
