POLICE have launched an investigation after a man was injured during an assault in Rock Ferry on Friday night.
Emergency Services were called to a property on Well Lane at around 11pm. When officers attended, they discovered a 28-year-old man with three minor puncture wounds to his chest and thigh.
He was taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not described as serious.
The property on Well Lane and a nearby access road were cordoned off for forensic examination and inquiries into the incident have been conducted in the area.
An investigation to establish the full circumstances is continuing, although at this stage, detectives believe that the offender and the victim are known to each other.
