Wirral Council say South Parade in West Kirby has now reopened.
Globe chief reporter Craig Manning braved the elements earlier today to keep en eye on the high tides across the borough.
Here is a photo he took of the waves crashing up against New Brighton's promenade.
Wirral Council say South Parade in West Kirby is still closed. Biffa are in the process of finishing off clearing the debris and it is hoped the road should be open again within the next hour.
We will leave you with this photograph, sent in by Phil Kirby of a police patrol earlier today in West Kirby.
South Parade remains closed for the time being while Wirral Council removes the debris that has been washed up but aside from that, the high tide has retreated with what appears to be minimal impact.
The latest from Wirral Council.
The following roads are currently being re-opened:
• Kings Parade in New Brighton
• North Parade, Hoylake
• The Dell in Rock Ferry
South Parade in West Kirby is still closed to allow the council to remove debris that has been washed up with the high tide, but will reopen as soon as possible.

For those of you who don't want to get your feet wet, Wirral Cam shows you how the borough is faring.
Here is the latest shot from Hoylake Beach.
Last month saw the popular Black Pearl fall victim to the storms. Hopefully the hard work of its creators, who have started to reconstruct it, won't be washed away too!
RT @caibird123: High tide at New Brighton, only intermittent wave overtopping at the moment. So unlikely to flood this time. http://t.co/g0…— @ScottyOB1OBrien 03 January 2014

Liverpool Coastguard is warning people to avoid "wave-dodging" but has reported no incidents due to today's wild weather.
A spokesman for the coastguard said: "Our coastguard team has been helping to secure the car park at Fort Perch Rock.
"People should not go wave dodging because the water can grab you and drag you through the barriers - it's very dangerous.
"Wave dodging is out."
The Marine Promenade in New Brighton has been closed due to flooding between A554 Marine Promenade/King's Parade and Tower Promenade.
Just got word from Globe chief reporter Craig Manning who is in New Brighton. He says everything appears to be fine up until Morrisons, with car parks still open.
Although he tells me police are telling people to stay away from the wall as you get closer to King's Parade.
Traffic appears to be moving well at the moment but we will keep you updated.
Email your photographs to firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call on 0151 649 4018.
ROAD closures were put in place earlier today as a precautionary measure - good job!
King's Parade in New Brighton, North Parade in Hoylake, South Parade in West Kirby and The Dell in Rock Ferry have all been closed amid fears that the borough could be hit by a tidal surge.
Gale force winds that created a surge that left a swathe of destruction across the borough's coastal towns on December 5 are set to return.
The Environment Agency is warning coastal communities along the south and west coasts of England to remain vigilant and alert for possible tidal flooding between Friday and Sunday, as strong winds combine with high tides and large waves.
Globe chief reporter Craig Manning is on his way to New Brighton and West Kirby to see how wet things are getting. Looking at the photographs on Twitter, here's hoping he has his wellies with him!
