STAFF from Tesco in Bidston have thanked our readers for donating five trolley loads of toys that will be donated to local charities.
Shoppers were invited to make donations at the store over the weekend of December 13-15.
Staff and managers dressed up to make the weekend special.
The toys will be donated to Wirral Women & Children's Aid and The Ronald McDonald House for Children situated at Arrowe Park Hospital.
Tesco employee Julia Davis' eight-year-old son Luke was among those taking spent four hours outside the store collecting toys for the appeal.
Julia said: "On behalf of Tesco I want to say such a huge thank you to all the lovely customers and staff who donated as we managed to get five trolleys overflowing with toys and it was such a great success."
