A bumper bundle of trophies was achieved by students from Wirral Theatre School at the Clwyd Dance Festival.
The Theatre School successes included 11-year-old Lauren Wood from Little Neston, who won first place in the junior Welsh modern championships, while Lucy Brookes, aged 12 ,from Parkgate, was runner-up.
Lauren will star at the Floral Pavilion in January when she will take the lead role in the Chrysanthemums Pantomime Society’s production of Little Red Riding Hood.
The school is based at Ness Village Hall, Ness, which has undergone a recent refurbishment to enhance facilities.
School principals Denise Skinner - an international dance examiner who has recently returned from Hong Kong and New Zealand, and Cheryl Dodd, say they are immensely proud of the girls’ successes: “They have all worked very hard – and we are all looking forward to seeing Lauren in her role as Little Red Riding in the new year."
