Stormy weather looks set to return to Merseyside this weekend.
The Met Office has issued a yellow "be aware" warning for high winds in the North West on Saturday.
Some heavy rain is also likely, particularly in the west.
The public should be aware that there could be disruption to travel and other outdoor events.
The Met Office said at this stage there remains uncertainty regarding the extent of the strongest winds and the public are advised to look out for updates to this alert in the coming days.
It remains possible that more of northern England and parts of Wales could also be affected.
The very strong winds may last into early Sunday in places before easing.
