Dawn's hair-raising cash boost for Children In Need
1:31pm Thursday 31st October 2013 in News
A MEMBER of staff from Burton's Biscuits in Moreton raised more than £3,000 for BBC's Children in Need from a sponsored head shave.
Dawn Craven, projects manager based at the chocolate refinery factory, agreed to wave goodbye to her locks to raise money for the charity, which is part of the company’s fundraising efforts for Children in Need.
Her original target of £3,000 has been well and truly beaten with Dawn having single-handedly raised a total of £3,277.96.
It is hoped that even more cash can be raised before the Children In Need programme airs on Friday, November 15.
Dawn said: "I never expected to raise as much money as I have done for Children in Need and I have been overwhelmed with how generous people have been.
"I'm so pleased to have been able to do this for a very deserving charity."
