Rovers' boss Moore hoping for first home league win of season against MK Dons
11:28am Friday 25th October 2013 in News
TRANMERE Rovers' boss Ronnie Moore hopes his squad will net their first home league win of the season when they face MK Dons tomorrow.
The game, kicking off at 3pm, will be the 15th time the two clubs have met, with MK Dons holding a ten wins to three advantage.
Last season's game at Prenton Park ended 1-0 to the Dons who also triumphed 3-0 at Stadiummk later in the campaign.
Rovers' last win over Karl Robinson's side was a 4-2 victory at Prenton Park in October 2010, with Dale Jennings and Ian Thomas-Moore both netting twice.
Moore said he expects a different type of game from Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Rotherham.
On this weekend's oponents, Moore told the club's website Tranmere Player: "They are a footballing side. They turned us over twice [last season].
"When they came down here for the televised game we never got a kick in the first half.
"We changed the way we played in the second half and put someone on the floater and they scored with the last kick.
"We know what to expect, they’re a fantastic side who want to play. It will be completely different to Tuesday.
"Rotherham are in your face, they're big and strong and have a go, whereas MK Dons want to pass it and play and are nice and pleasing on the eye.
"We’ve got to be in their faces, play at a high tempo and close them down. We need to get more men in the box."
He wants to see more of his players in the final third of tomorrow's game.
He said: "We need to get three, four, five men in the box and that’s something we’ve been working on this week.
"The fans have stuck behind the lads and it’s up to the boys to repay them. We want to get out of the bottom four and it’s wins that will do it."
