POLICE are keen to find the owners of a haul of items that were recovered from a house in Hoylake.
The stolen property includes sat-navs, I-pods, designer sunglasses, golf clubs, CDs and laptops.
The items were found after a 42-year-old man from Hoylake was arrested on suspicion of theft from a vehicle.
Police were called to Kingfisher Way in Upton on Friday morning after a resident spotted a man trying to break into cars.
They chased the would-be thief and arrested him nearby.
Following inquiries by Wirral forensic investigation and tactical team, it became apparent there had been several thefts from cars in the area.
Some owners have been traced, including a golfer who had used social media in a bid to find his stolen clubs, and officers were able to trace him through the site.
Police are appealing to residents in and around the Upton area who may have had items stolen from their cars recently to contact them on 0151 777 2246.
