STARGAZERS are invited to another of the very popular "Wirral Star Parties" taking place this Saturday.

Organised by Liverpool Astronomical Society, the event will be held at Wirral Country Park in Thurstaston starting at 7pm.

Weather permitting, society members will provided telescopes to look at cosmic wonders such as the Moon, the planet Jupiter with its cloud belts and bright moons.

The start party will still go ahead even if there is cloud and rain.

Inside the park's centre, there will be astronomy talks, a membership desk and society members will provide advice on the use of telescopes or binoculars.

Entrance is free, with free parking. Hot drinks and light snacks will also be provided at a small charge.
