1:46pm Tuesday 3rd September 2013 in News
RONNIE Moore will be without striker Abdulai Bell-Baggie and defender Adam Dugdale when Tranmere Rovers take on Fleetwood in the Johnstone's Paints first round at Prenton Park tonight.
Bell-Baggie is away on international duty with Sierra Leone while Dugdale, who came to Prenton Park on a month's loan from Crewe Alexandra on Friday, hasn't been given permission to play in the competition by his club.
Midfielder Andy Robinson misses out with a groin injury while James Wallace is still ruled out with a knee injury.
Last season Rovers were knocked out of the competition in the first round by Port Vale while Fleetwood were defeated by Rochdale at the same stage. Fleetwood come to Prenton Park in sixth place in Sky Bet League 2 with nine points from five games.
Graham Alexander's side have won two of their four away matches this season and the former Preston North End player has a fully fit squad to select from though defender Alan Goodall joined Grimsby on loan yesterday.
Ryan Lowe's late penalty gave Tranmere Rovers their first League One win of the season over Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park on Saturday.
The striker scored the only goal of the game at in second half injury time after coming on as a substitute.
Rovers, currently in 18th place in the league, return to League One action on Saturday, again at Prenton Park, taking on Stevenage. Kick off is 3pm.
