AN electrical fault is believed to have caused a fire at a house in Wirral over the Bank Holday weekend.
Five fire engines and an aerial appliance were called to a detached property in Croft Drive East, Caldy, on Sunday afternoon.
Crews from West Kirby and Bromborough were later joined by crews from Wallasey, Upton and Liverpool City Centre.
They remained at the scene throughout the night to damp down and deal with hotspots. The roofspace was gutted by fire.
There were no injuries.
