A TEAM of nurses from Clatterbridge Cancer Centre will take part in the Wirral Coastal Walk next month in preparation for their fundraising trip to China.

Delamere Ward nurses Laura Elder, Sian Davies, Helen Blackmore and Sarah Stewart - will join thousands of people for the walk on Sunday, May 19.

The walk will help them train for a walk along The Great Wall of China in aid of Clatterbridge Centre in September.

Sian said: “We see at first hand the difference the money raised by The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity makes to our patients.

"We wanted to do something really challenging to say thank you and raise even more money for the Centre’s patients across the region.

"We're all really excited to take part in the Wirral Coastal Walk. It's a fantastic day out and at 15 miles it’s perfect training for our China challenge in September."

Each year thousands of walkers turn out for the Wirral Coastal Walk from Seacombe Ferry to Thurstaston country park, organised by the North Wirral Rotary Club; many supporting their chosen charity.
