Special event in Wirral for World Autism Day

Wirral Youth Theatre and Wirral Autistic Society are joining together to stage an evening of dance, drama, music and the visual arts as part of World Autism Awareness Day on Tuesday, April 2.

World Autism Day was first held by the United Nations in 2007 and aims to increase people's awareness about people, especially children, with autism.

Pilgrim Street Arts Centre, Birkenhead, will be the venue for the Wirral event, which begins at 7.30pm, and includes performances from several WYT projects.

The event is being organised under the "Live and Loud" banner, part of a monthly programme of events at Pilgrim Street for young people to take part in art, education and volunteering.
