The vehicle, a silver Vauxhall Insignia, registration number FL60 EKX, was taken from outside an address in Mount Drive.
In the boot was a silver metal case containing chemicals used for water treatment and several plastic storage boxes.
The substances are not poisonous but can be an irritant.
