Teenage gang attack 12-year-old boy in Wallasey and steal his iPod
A 12-YEAR-OLD Wirral boy was attacked and robbed by teenagers as he walked alone.
The incident happened last Tuesday at around 5.20pm in Claremount Road, Wallasey, when the boy was approached by two older teenage boys.
They assaulted the youngster and stole his iPad from him before running down Broadway.
The first boy, who was aged between 17 to 18, was white, around 6ft tall and had a brown moustache and a small beard in the middle of his chin.
He was wearing a fur-lined black leather hat with ear flaps, a grey Adidas top and black tracksuit bottoms.
The second boy was also white, aged between 15 to 16 years old and was shorter than his accomplice. He wore a green peaked cap and a black North Face-type jacket.
Both of the boys had local accents.
Detective Inspector Justin Danher said: "This was a very distressing incident for the young victim and we are determined to find those responsible for this cowardly act.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw anything, or anyone who has recently been offered an iPad for sale to contact us."
Anyone with information should call detectives on 0151 777 2265 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
