TRANMERE Rovers returned to winning ways this afternoon after beating Colchester United 5-1.
Max Power gave Ronnie Moore's squad the lead 11 minutes into the game at Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Magnus Okuognhae pulled a goal back for the home side, but Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro restored the lead for the visitors before half time.
Ash Taylor's second half header gave Tranmere breathing space, the fourth came from substitute Cole Stockton and Michael O'Halloran completed the scoring from the penalty spot.
Ronnie Moore made three changes to the side that started four days earlier against Swindon with Mamady Sidibe making his debut up front alongside the returning Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro, while Ian Goodison started at centre back.
It was Rovers' first League win in five games, taking them to third on the league table with 59 points.
They take on Notts County at Prenton Park on Tuesday, 7.45pm.
