DETECTIVES have released e-fits of two men suspected of breaking into the home of a Wirral couple to steal keys to their car and van.

The incident happened in Rosefield Avenue in Higher Bebington after the 30-year-old home owner and her husband had gone to bed.

One of the thieves smashed a window in the back kitchen to then unlock the back door.

Once inside they stole two Toshiba lap tops as well as keys to a Vauxhall Astra and a Peugeot van parked on the couple's drive.

The car contained a Tom Tom sat nav, a child's Graco buggy and two child car seats. The van had various tools and equiptment inside.

The victim's discovered the burglary and car thefts the following morning when they got up.

A member of the public subsequently came forward to report seeing a white box van with fluroescent yellow chevrons on the side and a dark coloured Lexus car parked in the street shortly after midnight on the night of the break-in.

The two men in the e-fits are believed to resemble the drivers of each vehicle and detectives are keen to hear from anyone who recognises them or has any other information that could help their investigation.
