Wirral man dies in house fire

Scene of the fatal house fire in Eastham.
A WIRRAL man died in a house fire this morning.
The victim, who has not yet been named, was found dead by firefighters at his home in Lowfields Close, Eastham, at around 11am.
Merseyside police and fire services have now launched a joint investigation into the cause of the blaze.
The man is still to be indentified and a post-mortem examination is set to take place.
Police say no-one else was injured.
