A WIRRAL library is to close temporarily to allow building work to take place.
Moreton Library will close for approximately six weeks from this Monday, January 14, while maintenance and building work takes place to merge the library and One Stop Shop facilities.
During the closure, library books or other items can be returned to the One Stop Shop, which will also provide a selection of items for loan.
Books and other items such as DVDs can be returned, renewed or borrowed from any other Wirral library.
It is also possible to search for, reserve and renew books as well as accessing many online reference services and information via the libraries website at www.wirral.gov.uk/libraries
Information can also be obtained during normal office hours by calling 0151 606 2665.
Councillor Chris Meaden, Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure said: "We would of course like to apologise for any inconvenience the temporary closure will cause, however, when completed this work will enable residents to access a wealth of services in one place.
"We look forward to welcoming residents to the new look Moreton Library One Stop Shop when the work is finished."
